IBS PRECISION ENGINEERING ACKNOWLEDGED AS SME INNOVATION LEADER FOR DISRUPTIVE MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY SERVING FACTORIES OF THE FUTURE.

.As an H2020 SME Instrument Champion, IBS Precision Engineering has been selected to present the disruptive innovation behind its product ARINNA – an Areal Interferometer for Nanoscale Surfaces- to more than 1000 delegates at Industrial Technologies 2016, 22-24 June.

Focussed on Creating a Smart Europe, this meeting is the largest networking conference in the field of new production technologies, materials, nanotechnology and digitalisation in Europe.

IBS was awarded H2020 SME Instrument Champion for its work on the commercialisation of ARINNA; where it intends to revolutionise real-time in-line nanoscale metrology for the factories of the future. IBS was selected as an Innovation Leader under the EU Horizon2020 programme for Research and Innovation, which provides funding to develop innovative products that can disrupt the market, make the EU more competitive and create growth and jobs. ARINNA has already drawn significant interest from leading manufacturers in the automotive, semiconductor and medical markets. ‘ARINNA will change the way in which next generation products are measured during manufacturing.’ said IBS Managing Director, Dr Henny Spaan.

The conference brings together research, industry, education, finance and policy from manufacturing, process industry and technology domains from all over Europe. The goal is to identify priorities that are crucial to strengthen the European industrial innovation ecosystem. It is organized as an associated event of the Netherlands Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2016 and was opened by His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn.
