In response to demand for automated thread quality testing, Lion Precision has developed a new series of eddy-current sensors uniquely designed for non contact scanning and detecting of individual threads in tapped holes in both ferrous and nonferrous materials. Easy to install and to adjust, these systems don't require the cleanup of the parts to check and are supplied as measuring systems to integrate or complete IBS Precision Engineering turnkey systems.
Thread Sense The working principle is simple, a IP67 probe, resistant to hostile environments, moves into the axis of the tapped hole to check (M5 to M16). An analogue signal will give you the presence or absence of threads. The probe has to be to selected in accordance with the Ø to check.
